Happy Go Lucky is a sustainable, healthy, and uniquely gourmet Lunch Cart and catering company. It’s creation has been a series of synchronistic events. We literally had to win the lottery to be able operate a food cart in Sacramento at all, beating out around 150 other hopefuls. Not only did we win, we were drawn third in the lottery and got our first choice spot, on the corner of 8th and I next to the library!
We have since created a diverse and continually evolving menu from daily soups and vegan tuna melts to couscous salads.
We have rapidly expanded our catering efforts and are more than happy to provide healthy, delicious food for special events, even in large quantities.
Come visit us downtown Monday through Thursday from 11:15am to 1:30pm. We always recomend that our costumers come early if they can, because we sell out of items as the day goes on:)

I am so jealous you guys beat me to this kind of idea! My husband and i have been dreaming of opening a vegan truck or cart around downtown for years. But I’m super excited it’s happening for someone. AND you’re serving food from Au Lac which is one of our favorite places to eat! I hope you can one day serve their veggie chicken salad because it’s my all time favorite. It would also probably be a big lunch time hit! Can’t wait to try it out! Good luck!

I’m so glad you know Au Lac! We’re looking very forward to bringing in a rotating, weekly dish in addition to the rice bowls, we’ll make sure we check out the chicken salad. Once I figure out how to post a weekly/monthly menu, I will! As for your dreams of a vegan truck – go for it! There can never be too many healthy options out there. Only a few bites into my first Veggie Rice Bowl and it is fabulous! I got the Thursday special with the Basil Eggplant – delicious! I will continue to support this local business. After all, we’ve got to help keep each other in business!

I’m telling ALL of our friends that work and live downtown! We are Au Lac regulars and it is hands down the BEST Vegan food we’ve had in years! From vegetarians for over 10 years, we’re so happy it’s reaching more of Sac. We wish you all the success. Can’t wait to visit you downtown soon!!
